- NAD+ has emerged as a key modulator of cell signaling and survival pathways – increasing ATP production – the energy currency of your cells. NAD+ levels control the activity of DNA repair and the seven enzymes that guard against aging called “Sirtuins.”
- These proteins are nicknamed “guardians of the genome” because they play a key role in maintaining cellular health, controlling inflammation, and switching off genes that are associated with aging. Sirtuins maintain telomere length – the end caps of DNA that keep chromosomes from unraveling and can only work in the presence of NAD+. NAD+ levels are depleted in response to oxidative stress in humans, and this may play a significant role in the aging process by compromising energy production, DNA repair, and genomic surveillance.
Why not the oral formulation of NAD+?
Through a standard drip, NAD+ is delivered directly to your bloodstream, bypassing your gut. Vitamins and nutrients taken orally must pass through the entire digestive system before being absorbed. Because NAD+ cannot be absorbed through the gastrointestinal tract, IV infusions are safer and preferred over orally ingested alternatives.
What are the benefits of NAD+?
- NAD+ can improve a wide variety of physiological changes, including restoring muscle function and athletic performance, improving brain regeneration, restoring energy levels, and boosting mood.
- NAD+ has the unique ability to protect tissues, induce DNA repair, improve mitochondrial function, increase health span and lifespan, and ultimately slows down the aging process
- NAD+ activates the production of dopamine, serotonin, and noradrenaline, and improves neuro-chemical communication, mood, concentration, and memory.
What medical conditions can NAD+ help with?
- Opioid addictions, post-traumatic stress disorder, anxiety, depression, and neurodegenerative conditions
- Extremely helpful for Autoimmune conditions such as Crohn’s, UC, Rheumatoid arthritis, Multiple sclerosis, and more
- Improves brain fog and long COVID symptoms significantly!
- Improves athletic performance, muscle regeneration, and growth
How does NAD+ infusion work?
- Initially, you will have a free consultation with one of our providers, where we will conduct a comprehensive medical review to see if NAD+ Infusion is the right choice for you. If it is, we then determine the dosage, frequency of infusions (loading vs. single), and infusion rate. Dosing varies from 250mg-1000mg per infusion, and each infusion can last anywhere from 1 hour to 4 hours. (depends on patient tolerance)
What is a loading dose? And who is it for?
- A loading dose is for any patient suffering from extreme fatigue caused by Long COVID, Underlying chronic illness, or Autoimmune diseases such as Crohn’s disease, Ulcerative colitis, and Multiple sclerosis, to name a few.
In such cases, we would recommend a 5-day loading dose regimen:
- Day 1-2 = 250mg over 1 hour, Day 3-4 = 500 mg over 2-3 hours (depending on tolerance), Day 5 = 750mg over 3-4 hours followed by monthly 750mg or 1000mg infusions.
What are the side effects?
Side effects are extremely rare, especially when a dose and infusion rate is tailored to the patient’s need for NAD+ and when starting at a lower dose with a slow infusion rate.
- Nausea, Vomiting, Diarrhea
- Abdominal pain
- Cramping during therapy
- Tenderness, redness, or swelling at the injection site
- Bruising at the injection site
- Infection at the injection site (rare)
- Headaches
- Fatigue
- Phlebitis (rare)
How much does it cost?
- 250mg – $350
- 500mg – $450
- 750mg – $550
- 1000mg – $650
